Blame it on a very-late-to-the-game inspiration from Simone Marchetti’s street style photos of going full-throttle in wearing pajama set as well as other talented fashionistas, the seemingly nonsense pajama chic comes into trend throughout the recent seasons. What’s more, the vivid interpretation of Marc Jacobs, who tended to design a complete shocking pajama collection for Louis Vuitton, also profoundly enhanced the trend of pajama chic. As a huge fan of paneled pants, the silver linings over the sets are just too appealing to get over. Leave it all to sleepwear!

It does work out when going full-throttle in wearing pajama set, since silk pajamas are originally a sort of fancy sophistication. On the other hand, however, I’m not intended to dress like a funky dumpy who has just waken up and started to wander around for some leisure fun. Patent leather, especially for shoes, comes to my sight in the first place cuz its stunning texture is an edgy contrast to the soft silk. Still, some formal dressing elements as the slim-fit white shirt, printed tie, and leather bag ought to be matchy-matchy for a dashing ensemble, while accessorizing heavily with metallic cuffs( which I’d like to have a try) is somehow strongly recommended.

When tracing back to the 16th century——the Renaissance Splendor, men clothing expressed an assertive, confident masculinity through bulky layers that increased a man physical presence. Huge shoulders, broad chests, and an emphasis on exaggerate silhouettes all enhanced a sense of the active body. 

Back to the present, from the current womenswear collections, there is a distinct shadow of the masculine inspiration. Excessively wide shoulders, oversize shapes, outta-space silhouettes were reinterpreted by designers like Olivier Rousteing, Stella McCartney, and Nicolas Ghesquière. However, thanks to the advances of the technology, instead of using padding to achieve the exaggeration, designers these days have drawn much of their attention to new fabrics and textiles to recreate the inspiration. Transformed compound cashmere, lightened but strengthened colored leather, or even Neoprene(widely used in diving suits), these fabrics, which are considered to be easily-shaped but meanwhile lighter, are developed and put into use to embrace the designers’ fantasies. Elements which used to act as the signature features of garments’ decoration such as heavy embroideries, strong vertical lines of cut, and trims encrusted with sumptuous jewelry and gold threads, are now abandoned and replaced by elaborate digital prints.No matter fusions of futuristic fantasies, unconstrained geometric structure, or the transcended versions of those famous photography, technology innovation provides us with an ultimate expression of beauty and romance.

The roaring 20s, Downton Abbey, The Great Gatsby....these are the first few things appear in my mind when it comes to the issue of classy trim men. When Cyd Charisse and Fred Astaire swing dancing to jazz, the general scene of the roaring 20s is here: waist-fitted blazer, unpadded or double-breasted styles,  button-the-top-button attitude as well as the refined and striking pant crease.

I get the three-piece suit from www.dandyinne.com, and the physical products prove themselves to be exquisitely tailored.Surprisingly, It's not until I put on the suit when I actually get the real means of fit.Totally different from the female blazers (I've worn them so many times before...), menswear blazer provides me with exactly the right cuttings and waist  line which can magically polish my physical shape and proportion. This time I think I've got to know why they say even the most traditional menswear can look just as modern as any of the hottest new trends.

Moreover, I drape a cocoon silhouette coat with contrast patterns over my shoulders as an alternative to the look, which not only makes it warmer and more wearable in winter but also not seems like overdone.

 They're a funny thing, trends. So fickle, so unpredictable. Take J.W. Anderson's Pre-Fall 2012 checked sweater, for instance. Who could have known that it would be catapulted into must-have status in the space of just a few short weeks? With its oversize silhouette and graphic pattern, Taylor Tomasi Hill, Tamu McPherson, and Julia Sarr-Jamois have all shown thier attachment to it, this windowpane knit seems well on its way to replacing the conventional striped shirts as the most ubiquitous patterned pullover around. 

Moreover, as the London Menswear F/W 2013 Fashion Week is going on, we exactly see patterns relevant to the windowspane trend. Kenzo,without those tiger-sweater garments, shows diversity including several looks with bold check and stripe patterns.

In my look, I attempt to keep the whole tone clean and chic while adding some interesting and sophisticated layering details. To begin with, I pick the wool varsity jacket with diverse textures to create a Grunge but effortless feeling.Then, it suddenly comes to my mind that I layer two pants together——  slim fit checked pants with the zipper pants as flowy hems, which strikes a balance to the whole look and perfectizes the proportion.
